The kitchen provides everything you need whether you’re preparing a light snack or a three-course meal!
It benefits from a tall fridge/ freezer, microwave, electric hob and oven, slimline dishwasher and Dolce Gusto coffee maker. A full range of kitchen equipment and utensils are also provided to help you prepare your meals as well as crockery, glasses and cutlery. The BBQ utensils and pizza paddle are stored here.
We also provide a small cleaning kit including vacuum, dustpan and brush, mop and bucket cleaning cloth, cleaning products, bin bags, two tea-towels, oven gloves, washing up liquid and starter pack of dishwasher tablets.
For your safety we include a small fire extinguisher and fire blanket. The first aid kit is located over the sink.
A washing machine and tumble dryer can be found in the Dairy – your private laundry and boot room that adjoins the cottage. Please bring your own detergent.
A drying rack and clothes pegs are provided and you can make the most of the sun/ fresh air with a retractable clothes line in the courtyard.
An iron and ironing board is available within the cottage.
All bedrooms have bedside tables / shelf with lamps, storage space for your clothes with hangers and a full-length mirror.
For your convenience, towels and bath mats are provided. A complimentary starter pack of toilet roll and toiletries is also provided.
You may want to bring additional toiletries to replenish during your stay.
We also provide a hair dryer.
The cottage has a SMART TV, DVD player, board games and cards. There’s also plenty to keep you busy in the Games room (when you’re not off exploring or putting your feet up!) including a dart board, pool table, football and table tennis.
Free complementary wifi is available to our guests.
Stay nice and toasty with two wood-burning stoves. We provide complimentary firewood which facilitates a wonderful cosy ambience in winter or boost house temperatures if required in summer months. The cottage is fitted with new farho eco electric heaters which ensure the house temperature does not fall below at certain temperature at any point during the colder months. A separate system provides plenty of hot water on tap.
Where do we start? When you stay at Corderry Farm, you benefit from access to so much outdoor space!
Let’s start with the grounds around the cottage itself. You have exclusive use of the pretty garden with a picnic table, the outdoor kitchen with BBQ and seating, the private Haggart with its gorgeous woodland feel and magnificent views over the Galtee mountains. You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to deciding where to enjoy breakfast, morning coffee, a glass of wine and your evening meal!
And then you have access to over 250 acres of private countryside to enjoy and explore. Try a different walk each day, megalithic tombs/ Dolmens on site. Find a spot to relax by the soothing river with a good book. Step out of your door and literally directly onto a stunning national walking trail with mountains, lakes and forestry. You really are in a walker’s paradise in the heart of unspoilt rural Ireland, with exclusive access to a wealth of breathtaking Irish countryside.
The games room can be found in the old byre, just a few steps from the cottage. The byre originally housed the milking cow that provided milk for the farmhouse and its occupants. The two large double barn doors can be left open in summer adding to the wonderful atmosphere.
You will find plenty to keep you busy in the games room including a dart board, foosball table, pool table and table tennis plus seating for when you need to take a pause and catch your breath!
The local village is 3 miles from the cottage. It provides a friendly food store with deli, off license and post office. The village also offers a butcher, small coffee shop, fast food take-away, and three wonderful pubs. The village park, tennis court (which is free to use – just bring your own ball and rackets) and playground are located behind the community centre.
Two lovely restaurants are an eight-minute drive from the cottage in the Glen of Aherlow as well as a nature park and very scenic picnic area.
Tipperary Town is a 15-minute drive away, it contains Dunnes stores, Supervalue, Tesco, Lidl and Aldi and your chance to do a little retail therapy in the town. Tipperary town has a four-screen cinema, swimming pool, pitch and putt, sports complex and various coffee shops, restaurants and pubs.
If you fancy a round or two of golf, the town boasts two separate 18 hole championship courses, altogether there are five golf courses within a 30 minute drive of Corderry Farm. Alternatively, if an exciting days horse racing is your thing and day at the races is on the cards, then Tipperary Racecourse is the place for you! Super Sundays throughout the winter and Super Thursday in summer, are exciting family day out with family entertainment, live music and kids petting area and of course the races themselves.
Yes you will find plenty of space to park your vehicle in the courtyard in front of the cottage. We’re not short of space around here!
Standard check in to the cottage is from 4 pm on the day of arrival until 10pm, and we kindly ask that you check out on the day of departure by 10 am.
We will ask you to let us know your arrival time so we can meet you at the cottage with your keys.
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept dogs or any other animals in the cottage or on the farm.
Corderry Farm is a working farm with cattle and horses and as so, our priority must be, ensuring the harmony and balance within the farm and its livestock. It’s important that out pregnant Mares are always calm and stress-free. Thank you for your understanding.
Yes, there is plenty of space in the dairy for you to securely store your bikes.
Hop up on your bike to discover magnificent views of the Galtee Mountains from the road, as well as ancient sites preserved in an unspoilt landscape. Enjoy cycling quiet country roads while exploring all the locality has to offer or there are lots of undulating off-road biking in the forestry. Alternatively, take the short drive to the specially designed 98km biking trails which offers something for all levels.

The cottage provides one double bedroom and two single rooms, sleeping a maximum of 4 people.
