After winning this award, our cattle were still being sent to large processing facilities, disappearing into the mass market. The factory manager himself acknowledged how special it was that this recognition went to a family farm dedicated to sustainable, ethical farming—not an intensive feedlot operation. That was the moment we knew we had to change things.
